Manchester United vs. Liverpool

The match was wonderful and a classic english football game that we nowadays do not get to see at all , according. The match was the way it should have been , except a few mistakes from both the sides , the game was absolutely perfect for both the sides (except the fact that one side won and one side lost) , as it was yet again a classic Manchester United vs. Liverpool match.
Kenny Daglish's men advanced to the next round , the 5th round and I think that they deserved this 2-1 win against the Red Devils. The Reds made no mistakes according to me , they did everything correctly I think except the fact that they did was that they were not able to keep position. They had only 37% position compared to Manchester United's 63% position. Leaving that they were all around really great performers. They moved the ball around really well and they kept the ball when they hd a chance to. The substations of Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy were also very convincing.
In the other hand , Manchester United were making a lot potty pottyof mistakes , but they were able to keep position , but actually it becomes really very useless when you cannot do anything with the ball in front of you. And that is what happened with Manchester United , lack of creativity. According to me Manchester United made 3 big mistakes that cost them the FA Cup.

    I am back in red!!
  • Why does Sir Alex play Danny Welbeck alone? Danny Welbeck , as you know does need someone to guide him , or he is useless. That is what happened , Danny was left alone in the forward position , and as a result again , he was getting the balls but he was not dribbling with it.
  • Why did Sir Alex take Paul Scholes out for Javier Hernandez? Paul Scholes was taken out because he was very tired but still he has 2 great players on either of his side and he has to just pass the ball and not run with it. When he went , United started losing a lot of possession.
  • Why no Michael Owen ? Well , Michael Owen is a great player who still has quality and ample of experience , and this man has also played with Liverpool. He could also be a replacement for Welbeck , as he can pass the ball , take on wonderful shots and also dribble the ball well.

India Down And Under

Mass Destruction!!
India down and under. A sentence that has been written by the indian newspapers quite often in the past 4 to 5 weeks. India were looking very very good in the series vs. West Indies , I think. But what the hell has just happened in Australia. They are already 3-0 down , trailing down under , and now it is looking like it is already 4-0 in the 4th test at Adelaide after Ricky Pointing and Michael Clarke's double century. By the way , teams make mistakes but India is a really very unique team. They were smashed by the Englanders 4-0 in the test series. But in the ODI format (One Day International) also India lost to them 5-0 and in the T20 also India lost the match. So , it means that India had not even won a match in England and if we also take Australia then it means that India are poor against the bigger teams at away.

Sachin Out...Again!
But would anyone know the reason for , what I call a very big disaster(s)???I guess some won't know that but some cricket pundits would know. So actually the biggest problem according to me is  - Old players. Michael Clarke before the series told that even if Australia did not have the key players , they had some great young talents like Ed Cowan and Pattison and also told that your players are always important in a team and it was proved many times in Australia.

Bashing just for fun!
But who are to be blamed?? Indian skipper MS (Mahendra Singh) Dhoni or the Indian selectors. I say of course the Indian selectors. Why does MS Dhoni have to take the responsibility for India's loss??I think Indian selectors are the main culprits of the show against injury stricken Australia. Why?I think because India have many young options. Why do not they bring on Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina when they have proved themselves to be really great test players. Virat Kolhi who is again one more young lad has always nearly saved the Indians from a very big defeat. Umesh Yadav has also sometimes really come close to save India from a loss. So why the hell not bring on the young ones??

I think from the tour of Australia , the Indians should learn a huge lesson. If they do not bring on the young ones , I think that they will not be known a great in the cricketing world ever again...

Manchester United vs. Arsenal - Preview

The Guns Are Ready
The Red Devils are Waiting
Manchester United vs. Arsenal. A match that not only Manchester United and Arsenal fans but also the other Premier League supporters would be looking forward to.  2 teams with the same aim , to win the Barclays Premier League , will also have the same determination , to train hard and win the match. The rivalry between Manchester United and Arsenal is very big and it will increase as Arsenal will be looking to avenge their 8-2 defeat against Manchester United when they last met together at Old Trafford , in a match that was absolutely unusual. But this time it would be much more tougher for both the teams as the return of Manchester United great Paul Scholes and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry would be there who have always shined for their respective clubs. It will be a very big battle between the two English Giants on 22nd January. Let us have a closer look on the key statistics of the biggest match of what should be a great weekend for the footballing fans.

Key Players : Manchester United

Antonio Valencia (Right Winger)

Antonio Valencia was undoubtedly the best player for Manchester United. He put in beautiful low crosses for Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck. He was very unlucky in the game , especially when Valencia put in a wonderful ball for Wayne Rooney but Rooney failed to hit the shot on target when even the goalkeeper was not there.

Danny Welbeck (Striker)

Danny Welbeck may have suffered an injury against Bolton Wanderers , but if he is fit , Arsenal should better stay on guard. The 21- year old Manchester United forward scored a sensational goal against Bolton in which he just slid and slotted the ball into the bottom corner. Danny  Welbeck also scored a good goal against Manchester City.

Key Players (Arsenal)

Robin Van Persie (Forward)

The Dutch forward played an outstanding game in the match against Swansea City. I think he was the best player for Arsenal. I think he showed his wonderful dribbling skills against Swansea and he may do the same against the injury hit Manchester United

Thierry Henry (Striker)

Thierry Henry put an outstanding display at the Liberty Stadium. Even though the Frenchman did not score a goal , he dribbled from the defenders very well and took wonderful shots as he earlier took. i think that he may be the key man to Arsenal's win over Manchester United.

Arsenal perished to a 3-2 loss against Swansea City. People would say that Arsenal easily should have won the game and would say bad things about the club. But i would say that Arsenal played , very well and Swansea is a very tough team to beat and it was not Arsenal's fault as Swansea's goals were very good. While at Old Trafford Manchester United recorded an easy 3-0 win over the strugglers Bolton Wanderers. Whatever happened on Sunday and Saturday , I think would not decide what will happen on the Super Sunday. The tough training will still be on in Manchester and London.

The Return of The Kings

The kings are back. One of the greatest players in the history of the Barclays Premiership and the ones who inspired thousands of young minds are back in the very league, in which their wonderful talent was discovered. Here they are back getting ready to haunt teams yet again as they had done numerous times in the past.

Paul Scholes

A name that many of the football fans would familiar with , the Manchester United veteran has scored 150 goals in 677 games in all of the competitions with the club. This is a great record for any midfielder , especially for players like him , who do not intend to score too many goals but create many goals with the help of their outstanding balls. The legend who has stayed with Manchester United in his footballing career has just come back to the club after he retired in the early 2011.This Manchester United man has quite often made an impact on the footballing world after putting wonderful through balls and passes for his team mates. Paul Scholes is an extremely fit player after he has averaged around 34 games per season in his premier league era. which other great footballers like Ryan Giggs (average -   29 games) and Robin Van Persie   (average -  24 games ).

Thierry Henry

227 goals , 370 appearances for just 1 club. Can you call him anything other than a legend? I guess no, so I,undoubtedly, had to include it in my list. With the average of 28 goals per season , Thierry Henry was undoubtedly the best player for Arsenal in his 8 year stay at the English club. if you look back at his wonderful career you would come through some wonderful goals scored and outstanding passes. In 2006 , the Arsenal man moved to FC Barcelona and then from there he shifted to Major League Soccer where he played with the New York Red Bulls. But during the winter break , the Frenchman expressed his desire to play with his former club , Arsenal where he had earned his reputation. Thierry Henry straight away made a team suffer after he scored his first goal on loan with Arsenal against Leeds United in which his side won 1-0 in the F.A Cup.

Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane , a player that many Premier League teams would be aware of . Robbie Keane is a great player who has played in 10 different clubs , 5 of them in the Barclays Premiership. As a Barclays Premier League player Robbie Keane has scored a total of 298 goals in 356 appearances which is a very good record even for a very good striker. The Liverpool and the Tottenham great has also scored a total of  53 goals in 114 appearances with his nation , Ireland. After his 293 games stay at the Tottenham Hotspurs , the Irish player was sold to  Los Angeles Galaxy. But during the winter breaks in America he wanted to play in the Barclays Premiership and so he was send to Premiership side Aston Villa on a 2 month loan deal. The Irish striker has also played well in great clubs like Inter Milan , Coventry City , Wolverhampton Wanderers , Leeds United , Scottish champions Celtic and Premier League side West Ham United . He is popularly known all around the world of football for his wonderful finishing.

With the return of these kings , the Premier League will surely spice up. The scoring has already started as Thierry Henry scored a goal against Leeds United and Paul Scholes scored a goal against Bolton Wanderers. The Premier League has to just wait a few weeks and then the real battle will begin between the great giants.
